What it does
- Pairs generated near the AA thresholds, never right on the line
- Normal and large text rounds, like real interfaces
- Real ratios revealed after every call
- Keyboard controls (← / →) and big touch buttons
FAQ
What contrast does WCAG AA require?
4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text (24px, or 18.66px bold) and for UI components.
Why is contrast hard to judge by eye?
Perceived contrast depends on hue, size and surroundings, so two pairs with the same ratio can look very different. That is why it is measured.
